Harold Breitenfeldt

Harold E. Breitenfeldt, age 85 of Wolf Lake, MN passed away at his home on June 17, 2024.

Harold was born in Corliss Township, Perham to Edwin and Luella (Brasel) Breitenfeldt. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Corliss. He graduated from Perham High School in 1957. Harold was united in marriage with Elaine K. Ziegler on September 10, 1960 in Detroit Lakes, Mn. Harold and Elaine lived in Moorhead, MN, where he worked and was a member of the Air National Guard.

After living in Moorhead for several years, they moved to Wolf Lake, MN in 1966, where they farmed until moving to their retirement home in 1999, also near Wolf Lake.

Harold was active in both the Wolf Lake Baseball Club and Wolf Lake Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors. Harold spent many hours in his shop welding, repairing and building trailers. After moving from the farm, Harold took over the gardening - making it bigger and better every year. He loved sharing the vegetables he harvested with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; three children: Dennis (Merrie) Breitenfeldt of Long Prairie, MN, LeAnn (David) Burgau of Perham, MN and Steve (Lynn) Breitenfeldt of Perham, MN. Grandchildren: Danelle Breitenfeldt, Jennie (Scott) Danneman, Melissa (Emily) Breitenfeldt, Katie (Doug) Erickson, Devon (Kelly) Pipek, Tim Pipek, Luke (Mikel) Burgau, Chelsea (Alex) Pederson, Carly (Ryan) Satter, Connor Breitenfeldt, Claire Breitenfeldt. Great-Grandchildren: Katelynn, Alex, Henry, Simon, Mac, Sydney. Sibling, Norman (Luella) Breitenfeldt; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his grandson, Carson Breitenfeldt; his parents; brother, Arlin Breitenfeldt; and sister, Judy Quittschreiber.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service 7:00 p.m. at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service in Perham.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Carson Breitenfeldt Memorial Fund through United Community Bank in Perham.
