Harold K. Huber, age 82 of Ottertail, MN died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 beginning at 7:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Ottertail, MN.
Harold was born to Leo and Ella (Johnson) Huber in So. St. Paul, MN on June 25, 1930. He was a college Art teacher in Milwaukee for forty years and retired to Ottertail in 1992, where he devoted his time to writing, gardening and fishing.
His short stories have appeared in countless literary journals and anthologies across the country, and a collection of his tales, titled "South Beulah, Minnesota," was published by Stone House Press in May of 2000.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, who were Perham residents in the 1970's, and his brother, Billy.
Surviving Harold are niece, Janet Latus (John), nephew, Mark (Sue), almost-sister, Donna Culbertson (Robert), and many cousins - especially beloved of whom are Carole and Phil Tiedman, Diane and Mike Windey, Johann McCarthy.
Having dedicated-the greater part of his adult life to students and study, Harold decided to donate his remains to a nearby medical college for research and education.
