Harold Radi

Harold R. Radi, age 79, of Perham , MN , died Monday, November 30, 2009 , in the Perham Memorial Home after a lengthy battle with cancer.


Harold was born October 24, 1930 , to Martin and Emelia (Ross) Radi, in Fisher, MN, where he grew up and attended school. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fisher. Harold continued his education at the Gale Institute in the Twin Cities. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950-1954 and married Alice Tuttle on July 30, 1960 in Perham , MN . Harold worked for Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad for 43½ years as a station agent, retiring in 1992. Upon retirement, Harold and Alice made their home on Little Pine Lake. Harold took pride in community involvement, serving as a volunteer firefighter, city auditor and was active in the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially with his two granddaughters.



Harold is survived by his wife, Alice of Perham, MN; son, Marty (Kelly) Radi of Sartell, MN; granddaughters, Brooke and Karen; two brothers, Marlin (Betty) Radi of Seal Beach, CA, and Edward (Vivian) Radi of West Fargo, ND; two sisters, Adelle Burrus of Arenzville, IL, and Marlene (Bob) Brelsford of Aurora, CO; sisters and brothers-in-law, Darlene Radi of Fargo, ND, Rhoda Hooper of Detroit Lakes, MN, Mary (Chuck) Tappe of Frazee, MN, Laura (Dennis) Drummond of Perham, MN, and Jerry (Mardie) Tuttle of Crete, IL; an aunt, Irene Ross; and many nieces and nephews.



Harold is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elaine Puffe; brother, Alton Radi; brothers-in-law, Martin Burrus, Jay Tuttle, and Bob Hooper; nephews, Tim Radi and Aaron Drummond; and father and mother-in-law Dale and Florence Tuttle.
