Hattie Wanderi

October 4, 1925 — September 6, 2017

Hattie Elizabeth Wanderi, age 91 of Perham, MN died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in Perham Health. Visitation will be Sunday, September 10 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will resume on Monday, September 11 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Corliss. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Perham.

Hattie was born October 4, 1925 in Evergreen Township, the daughter of Fredrick and Christine (Jorgenson) Weidemann. On December 5, 1944 Hattie was united in marriage to Ferdinand Wanderi at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corliss Township. The couple purchased the Wanderi farm from Ferdinand’s parents and together they had six children. In 1974 they retired and moved in to Perham. Hattie worked at Bretz Hardware and Carol and Jene’s Hardware store. She also enjoyed knitting, quilting, crocheting and bowling. Hattie also enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends.

Surviving Hattie are her children Gerald (Elaine) Wanderi, Ardis Anderson, Donna (Wayne) Selander, Arlin Wanderi and Dale (Karen) Wanderi; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her three sisters Ida Carstens, Lorraine Ziegler and Darlene Lubitz.

Preceding Hattie in death were her parents Fredrick and Christine; her husband Ferdinand; her son Duane; her sister Annie; and her brother George.
