Hudson Shipman

Hudson J. Shipman, age 16 of Perham, MN, unexpectedly gained his angel wings Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Hudson John Shipman was born June 13th, 2009 to Richard and Rachel Shipman. In his early years, he showed his strength and heart. He was a born fighter. Later on, he would show the world his kind soul. He loved baking with his Grandma Johnson and we are sure she was his favorite person. He loved semi-trucks, tractors and anything with an engine. As he grew into a sweet and caring young man, his passion for driving and machines only grew.

During his first summer of work, he was able to save up and buy his first car. Hudson also loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his father and brother. He was also the go-to kid if you needed help. He was always willing to lend a hand.

He loved life and was looking forward to graduating and going on to get his CDL. He will be missed by so many.

Surviving Hudson are his parents, Rachel (Rick), Richard (Ashlee); siblings, Patrick, Lucie, Loni, Griffin & Lyla; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents.

He was preceded in death by Great Grandma Carol, Grandpa Neil, Grandpa Mark & stepsister, Eva.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Richville United Methodist Church in Richville, MN, followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Richville Village Cemetery.
