James Joseph Neyens
He was a selfless and fun-loving man who would give the shirt off his back for a friend in need. He lived every day as if it were his last. He lived alongside his three children Blair, Hunter, and Tanner. His parents, William Neyens, whom we lost in 2003 and his lovely mother Veronica whom he moved from Fulda to Perham three years ago to be closer to the family. Mary Aitken, his girlfriend, shared a home and life with him for 15 years. They shared many fantastic memories, elaborate get-togethers, and were always the life of the party. In the end, they were taken from us to eternally be together. Jim was a charismatic and amazing father, friend, and business owner. He spent his life doing the things he loved most; riding motorcycles, fishing and hunting with his children, working the drill rig, and shooting pool with friends. He was an active member of his community and was well liked by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He worked to instill good work ethic and perseverance into his children so that one day they could keep the business in the Neyens’ name. With a life moto that clearly stated how he spent his days, “Work hard, play hard,” we will never forget how big of a mark he made not only on the people around him, but the town he came from. He will be greatly missed. Ride High Jim!
