James Pauly

James J. Pauly, age 98, of Perham , MN , died peacefully at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home on Thursday, July 24, 2008 .


James John Pauly was born January 28, 1910 , in St. Bonifacius , MN , the son of John and Mary (Heitz) Pauly. On February 28, 1936 , he was united in marriage to Florence Johnson in Waconia , MN . James spent many years as an owner/operator of Mobil Stations in Norwood , MN , and Carver, MN. While in Carver he was a volunteer firefighter and was very involved in Carver’s baseball league. James was proud of the fact he was part of the building of the Alaska Highway and spent his spare time hunting and fishing.



James is survived by his wife, Florence, Perham, MN; four children, James A. Pauly, Brainerd, MN; Terry (Becky) Pauly, Albertville, MN; Mary (Mike) Huss, New Brighton, MN; and Joan (Dan) Pauly Schneider, Maple Lake, MN; twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.



Preceding James in death are his parents; six brothers, Henry, Joseph, Christ, Arthur, Fred, and John “Jack”; and three sisters, Julia, Rose, and Lorraine .
