James Spillers

James H. Spillers, age 68, of Perham , MN , passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 , at MeritCare Hospital , Fargo , ND . A memorial service is planned in Modesto, CA, at a future date.


James Howard “Jim” Spillers was born July 28, 1940 , the fourth child of eight, to Robert Henry and Luella Mildred (Tucker) Spillers.



Jim owned his own appliance repair company for many years while living in California . Upon moving to Perham he was employed at and retired from Barrel O’ Fun. Ice fishing and hunting with his nephew, David Chase, and great nephews were his loves. Other favorite past times included playing bingo, table games, and reading. His favorite companions were his dogs, Lucky Lady and Austin (Austy Boy) Million and his special close friend, Loni Herron.



Jim is survived by his daughter, Dana Brown, Modesto, CA; and son, Mark Spillers, Soulsloeville, CA; two grandchildren, Jeremey Hill and Tiffany Brown; sisters, Nancy (Charles) Newton; Anita (Jim) Migliardi; and Debra (Tony) Vasquaz; one brother, Steven (Sharon) Spillers; several nieces and nephews.



Preceding Jim in death are his parents; and three sisters, Melva, Bobbie, and Robbie.
