John W. Fritz, age 68, of Perham, MN, peacefully passed on March 16, 2026 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

He was born in Perham on February 2, 1958 to Urban and Leonida (Berns) Fritz. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. John grew up on the family farm south of Perham and graduated from Perham High School with the class of 1976.

John worked at Hemmelgarn Construction, drove school bus, and worked at Barrel O’ Fun until retirement. He lived at Perham Living for his remaining years.

John loved joking, pulling pranks, and cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.

Surviving John are his siblings, Mary (Jim) Carow of Oregon, Joe (Donna) Fritz of Perham, Leo (Janelle) Fritz of Ottertail, MN, Rose (Mark) Winkel of Sartel, MN, Dennis (Mary) Fritz of Perham, Dan Fritz of Perham; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Urban and Leonida Fritz.

John will be missed by his family and friends.
