John W. Zepper, age 76, of Perham, MN, died at Sanford Health of Fargo, ND, on Sunday, March 25, 2012.
John was born in Butler Township, rural New York Mills, MN, on July 2, 1935, to Benjamin and Louise (Jacques) Zepper. He served in the U.S. Army, in Fort Lewis, WA, for two years. John worked both as a truck driver and then as an insurance agent with AFLAC. He enjoyed hunting and managing the hunting land as well as fishing, both in the summer and ice fishing. Other hobbies John enjoyed were playing and coaching softball, relaxing in the sun, gardening, watching sports and spending time with the grandkids.
Surviving John is his wife of nearly 46 years, Denice; son, Bryan (Karen) Zepper, and their children, Breanna, Abbey and Katie; daughter, Lori (Michael) Dirckx, and their daughter, Mikaela, and step-son, Joseph; step-son, Terry (Karen) Steinhaus, and their children, Christopher Steinhaus and Nicholas (Candy) Steinhaus with their daughter, Amber; step-brother, Floyd; sister-in-law, Bonnie; brother-in-law, Dennis as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding John in death are his parents, Benjamin and Louise; sister, Anna; nephew, Ronald; step-father, Wallace and step-brother, Vernon.
