Katherine Elizabeth Kimball, age 73 of Perham, MN died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at her residence in Perham Living. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, June 30 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home in Perham. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 1 from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 AM, at the United Methodist Church of Perham.
Kathy was born on January 15, 1941 in Fargo, ND to Frederick and Bernice (Hightower) Ihlenfeld. Kathy grew up in Fargo and attended Central High School where she graduated. She went on to work at St. Lukes Hospital. In 1972, Kathy married Cecil Kimball. She moved to Perham, MN where they farmed and had two sons, Evan and Earl.
After the boys were grown, Kathy went back to work. She enjoyed working at Productive Alternatives with the mentally disabled in Perham. Kathy was very active in her church. She was in the choir for many years and taught Sunday School along with other church activities. Kathy was a very caring and loving person who enjoyed helping others.
Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Frederick.
Surviving Kathy are her sons, Evan and Earl (Amber and Caiden Gorentz) of Perham; her mother, Bernice of Fargo; her sister, Bea of Johnson City, TN; along with her beloved cat, Jasabelle.
