Larry Kempenich, Jr

Lawrence G. Kempenich, Jr., age 35, of Perham, MN, was surrounded by the love of our family at his bedside and those in prayer miles away as he passed away on Thursday June 22, 2012, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Larry George Kempenich, "J.R." was born on September 24, 1976, in Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Larry and Louise (Honer) Kempenich. He graduated from Perham High School and attended Fergus Falls Community College. Larry worked at multiple Zorbaz Restaurants. He started at the age of 16 in the Perham location and worked in Ottertail, Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids. His career at Zorbaz spanned 18 years. He will be remembered as a compassionate, caring man who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. J.R. will be especially missed by the boys at Rich's EOT Homes as their "personal chef". He enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews and cousins at family events and the road trips with Richie.
Surviving J.R. are his parents, Larry and Louise (Honer) Kempenich,; sister, Lorie (Kempenich) Siebels and brother-in-law, Mark; sister, Christina (Kempenich) Zeleny and brother-in-law, Scott; brothers, Scott and Richie; nieces, Katrina Siebels and Maria Siebels; nephews, Joseph Siebels, Noah Zeleny and Joshua Zeleny, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
