Larry Manning

January 23, 1945 — March 20, 2012

Larry James Manning, age 67, of rural Perham, MN, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at home, under the care of Hospice of Red River Valley. Larry was diagnosed with leukemia in August 2011.
Larry was born January 23, 1945, to William and Bertha (Habek) Manning. He was raised in rural Frazee, graduating from high school with the class of 1963. Larry married Elizabeth "Betty" Jutz on May 14, 1966, at the Assumption Catholic Church, in Callaway, MN.
Over the years, Larry held a variety of jobs. He worked construction, was a small business owner, worked for a farm equipment dealer and was a part-time farmer. In 2004, Larry found what he really enjoyed doing, retail sales. He joined L&M Fleet Supply in Detroit Lakes, MN, working in the farm department from 2004-2010. Larry then cut back on his work schedule, joining the staff at Mark's Fleet Supply, in Perham, for approximately one year. At that time, his health forced him into retirement.
Surviving Larry is his wife, Betty; two children, Jerry (Alice) Manning, Perham, MN, and Mark Manning, Pelican Rapids, MN; two grandchildren, Thomas and Pauline Manning; one brother, Eugene Manning, Callaway, MN; two sisters, Gladys Poeppel, Little Falls, MN, and Lorraine Windels, Detroit Lakes, MN, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents; two sisters and one brother.
