Larry Soule

Larry A. Soule, age 70, of Frazee , MN , passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 , at home on Little McDonald Lake surrounded by his family under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley .


Larry was born to Walter “Judd” and Luella Soule on December 11, 1939 , on the family farm near Santiago , MN . He attended country school and graduated from Bethany Lutheran High School in Mankato , MN . Larry served in the US Marines from 1958-62 as an airplane mechanic. He married his childhood sweetheart, Phyllis Meyer, on June 16, 1962 . Larry sold semi trucks for a living in Minnesota , Montana and Connecticut . He and Phyllis moved 22 times while raising their five children.



Larry enjoyed golfing, traveling, fine wine, good cigars (treats) and salmon fishing in the Campbell River , British Columbia . His greatest love was spending time at the lake with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.



Larry will be dearly missed by his wife, Phyllis; children, Michelle (Don) Langlie and family (Vanessa, Scott and Jacob); Michael (Jennifer) Soule and family (Michaela, Lindsey and Judd); Mitchell (Christine) Soule and family (Melissa, Dylan, Tyler, Ariel and Zoe); Mark (Judi) Soule and family (Amanda, Naomi, Zachary and Isaiah); and Matthew Soule; five brothers, two sisters, a large extended family and many devoted friends.

Preceding Larry in death are his parents, Walter “Judd” and Luella Soule.
