Larry Lee Wanderi, age 58, of Perham, MN, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Larry was born April 23, 1953, in Perham, the son of John and Norma (Rothiger) Wanderi. He was baptized at home in Corliss Township, rural Perham, and later attended the country school there. Larry was confirmed at St. Paula�(TM)s Lutheran Church in Perham. He graduated from Perham High School in 1971.
Following his high school graduation, Larry enrolled in the Detroit Lakes Area Vocational Technical Institute, graduating in 1972 from the Commercial Cooking program. Larry worked at various restaurants and at Swifts Plant in Frazee, MN, before his employment at Tuffya�(TM)s Pet Foods in Perham. Larry worked there for over 25 years,
On September 23, 1978, Larry was united in marriage to Lynne Marek. They lived their life together in Perham. Larry enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, deer and bird watching as well as cooking and baking, gardening and going to flea markets. He also enjoyed meeting people. Larry delighted in surprising his wife with flowers, small gifts and parties.
Surviving Larry is his wife, Lynne, Perham, MN; his sister, Rhonda (Jeff) Fassett, Alexandria, MN; nephews, Scott Fassett, Alexandria, MN and Brent (Emily) Fassett, Baxter, MN; several aunts, cousins, and a host of friends.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents, John and Norma Wanderi; grandparents, William and Hattie Wanderi and Otto and Minnie Rothiger and nieces, Ashley and Amanda Fassett.
Larry will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
