Leo C. Buchholz, age 85, of Fergus Falls, MN, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN.
Leo was born on December 23, 1926, in Wolverton, MN, the son of Irene (Prieb) and Albert Buchholz, Sr. He graduated from high school in Wolverton, MN. On June 18, 1947, Leo married Elaine Loff at the ELC Lutheran Church in Wolverton. The couple lived in Wolverton and then moved to Underwood, ND where they resided for 12 years, at which time, Elaine and Leo moved to Grand Forks, ND. Leo was a grain buyer for 24 years with Benson Quinn Company in Grand Forks. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, hunting and fishing. Leo and Elaine especially enjoyed the winters spent at their home in Arizona.
Surviving Leo are four sisters, Margie Long of Tulsa, OK; Frances (Tom) Williams of Broken Arrow, OK; Faye (Lavonne) Groan of Scottsdale, AZ; and Cheryl (Ron) Affield of Kent, MN; three brothers, Loren (Mary) Buchholz of Wadena, MN; Louis (Sharon) Buchholz of Tacna, AZ; and Albert Buchholz Jr. of Erhard, MN; one sister-in-law, Jane Buchholz of Breckenridge, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Leo in death are his parents; wife, Elaine, in 2000; sister, Jean; and three brothers, Glen, Earl, and Donald.
