Louis Sieling

On July 18, 2010 , Heaven rejoiced as Louis A. Sieling, age 82, of Perham , MN , began his first of eternal life.


Louis was born January 28, 1928 , at St. James Hospital , Perham , MN , to Louis Otto and Minnie Sieling. He was one of seven children and baptized on March 4, 1928 , at Immanuel Lutheran Church . Louis graduated from Perham High School in 1947 and worked for three years in St. Paul . He then returned home to help his dad farm. In 1955 Louis married Maxine Holst, from St. Paul , and they were married for 54 years. They farmed for 30 years.



Louis served as a board member for Lake Region Electric (27 years) and the Perham Hospital . He was a crop adjustor and planted trees for the soil conservation of Perham for many years.



Louis will be dearly missed by his wife, Maxine; children, Lenore (Doug) Becker family, Sarah and David; Wayne (Cindy) Sieling family, Eric, Justin and Amber; Louis E. (Ladonna) Sieling family, Ryan; and David (Chris) Sieling family, Brent and Nathan; six great grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine ; and many nieces and nephews.



Preceding Louis in death are his parents, Louis O. and Minnie; three sisters, Eleanor Sieling, Ann Pherson and Verna Krueger; two brothers, Earl and Fred Sieling; and a daughter-in-law, Kris Sieling.
