Luella Breitenfeldt

Luella L. Breitenfeldt, age 93, of Perham , MN , died Sunday, September 27, 2009 , at the Perham Memorial Nursing Home.


Luella was born February 12, 1916 , the daughter of Albert and Rose (Rothinger) Brasel. On September 5, 1934 , she was united in marriage to Edwin Breitenfeldt. Together they farmed in Corliss Township , rural Perham, until 1979 when they retired. In 1998 they moved into Perham. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Edwin died in June 2002 and Luella moved into the Perham Memorial Nursing Home in June 2008.



Luella enjoyed quilting, working with flowers, gardening, playing solitaire, scrapbooking, keeping a diary, taking walks, collecting newspaper clippings, and being with her children and grandchildren.



Luella is survived by three sons, Norman (Luella) Breitenfeldt, Menahga, MN; Harold (Elaine) Breitenfeldt, Menahga, MN; and Arlin Breitenfeldt, Perham, MN; a daughter, Judy (Jerry) Quittschreiber, Dilworth, MN; a sister, Minnie Ziells, New York Mills, MN; a sister-in-law, Lucy Brasel, Perham, MN; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.



Preceding Luella in death are her parents; husband, Edwin, two brothers, Edward and Walter Brasel; a sister-in-law, Elva Brasel; and a great grandchild, Carson Breitenfeldt.
