Marc Alan Gruenenwald

Marc Gruenenwald, 70, of Ottertail, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 surrounded by his family who loved him deeply.

Marc was born on June 7, 1955, to Roland and Doris Gruenenwald. He was the youngest of three children. Marc attended Providence Valley Country School until the 5th grade and later graduated from Dawson High School in 1973.

On December 4, 1993, Marc was united in marriage to Kathy. Together they built a life rooted in hard work, dedication, and love.

Marc demonstrated what it meant to be a hard worker. He spent his life farming near Dawson and driving over-the-road truck. Later in life, he and Kathy became resort owners on Otter Tail Lake. He and Kathy retired to Buchanan Lake and Parker, AZ.

Marc found joy doing anything in his shed. He built a ’68 Chevy C-10 from the ground up. RZR riding through the desert of Arizona with his Verde West friends brought enjoyment to Marc. His truest pride and joy came from his three sons and four grandchildren.

Marc is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Matthew (Morgan), Ben (Kristin), and Ryan (Alicia); grandchildren, Morgan (Vinnie), Jake, Addison, and Justin; sister, Barbra; brother, Stanley (Barb); and numerous extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Marc’s home.
