Marcella "Marcie" Silbernagel

Marcella “Marcie” Silbernagel, age 80 of Perham, MN, died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Thomas House in Perham. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 and parish prayers at 7:00 on Thursday, December 13 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service, Perham. Visitation will resume from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:00 on Friday, December 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dent, MN.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Marcie was born January 6, 1938 in Perham to Albert and Regina (Dombeck) Sazama.  She attended and graduated from Perham High School in 1956.  On July 10, 1958, she married Stanley Silbernagel.  Together they raised their family of nine and farmed near Dent.  In 1988 Marcie and Stanley moved to their new home on Marion Lake.

Marcie enjoyed dancing, playing cards, gardening, fishing, driving tractor and caring for all animals.  She loved her trips to the casino, remained active in her church and truly loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Francis (Julie) Silbernagel of Jamestown, ND, Lora (Steve) Anderson of Deer Creek, MN, Wayne (Julie) Silbernagel of Perham, Lois (Kelly) Brakefield of Pelican Rapids, MN, Linda Niemeyer of Zimmerman, MN, Lisa (Steve) Sheets of Perham, Lucy (Willy) Gadacz of Hillman, MN and Lidia (Robert) Atkinson of Cushing, MN;  four brothers Louie, Mike, Art (Carol) and Roger (Debbie) Sazama; one sister Ardelle (Marlin) Jorgenson; 25 grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marcie was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Regina Sazama; her husband Stanley; her daughter Leona Holzer; her grandsons Nicholas Silbernagel and Justin Gadacz; her three brothers Duane, William “Bill” and James Sazama; and one sister Arleen Silbernagel.
