Marie Malikowski

Marie Ann (Johnson) Malikowski, age 76 of Frazee, MN passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume beginning at 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 16 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Perham.

Marie was born February 11, 1941 to Andrew and Elaine (Doll) Johnson at St. James Hospital in Perham. Marie attended Perham High School graduating in 1960. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and ice fishing in the winter. Marie also enjoyed her Christian faith and family time, the more the merrier, she was an excellent host. She also really enjoyed dancing, especially waltzes and polkas.

Marie married Stanley Malikowski September 6, 1965 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham. Together they started farming in Evergreen Township taking over the family farm. Marie and Stanley were blessed with three children.

Surviving Marie is her mother Elaine (Doll) Johnson; her husband Stanley; her children Mary (Steve) Karsnia of Perham, Nancy (Todd) Johnson of Longville, MN and James Malikowski of Frazee; her 11 grandchildren Ben Karsnia, Samantha Karsnia, Danny Karsnia, Matthew Johnson, Mike Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Andrew Malikowski, Tony Malikowski, Angie Malikowski and Ashley Malikowski; her two great-grandchildren Mason Lehman and Rylie Karsnia; her siblings John (Anna) Johnson, Ron (Fran) Johnson, Connie (Joe) Sczygiel and Randy (Peg) Johnson.

Preceding Marie in death was her father Andrew Johnson and her grandson Josh Karsnia.

Marie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
