Marie Lucile Rosen "Cile" 1916-2013

Entered her eternal rest on April 27, 2013, at the home of her daughter Sharon in Pensacola, Florida. She was born to Edward G. Martin and Marie Martin (nee Bauck) in Perham, Minnesota. She attended Richdale School through sixth grade and then went to St. Paul's Lutheran School for the seventh and eighth grades. Lucile went to high school in Perham while boarding with her sister Ellen at Herb Brace's and caring for their infant twins. After graduation she worked for Welter Brother's in their grocery business. She married Waldemar "Buster" Rosen in 1937 and they began their career farming in Corliss and later in Pine Lake until they retired to their home on Big Pine Lake in 1996. After the death of her husband in 2007 Lucile divided her time between her three daughters. She spent the summers at the lake in Minnesota with Lynn and the winters either in Florida with Sharon or in Idaho with Connie.

Lucile was an athlete who thrived on competition. She played basketball, softball and was a cheerleader during high school. She loved nothing better than to beat you in bowling or horseshoes or cards. She loved baking for the family and her grandchildren always requested her caramel rolls. You could be assured that your favorite sweet would be waiting for you when you arrived for a visit. Lucile was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Perham. Her life was the ultimate Christian role model for her family and friends. She fed the hungry, visited the sick, and provided comfort and advice to those around her. She faced life with a positive attitude and found joy in the ordinary day-to-day events of life.

Lucile is preceded in death by her husband, Buster; three brothers, Edward, Gordon, and Walter; and one sister, Ellen.

Surviving Lucile are her three daughters, Sharon (Leonard) Mueller of Pensacola, Florida, Connie (John) Gahl of Cascade, Idaho, and Lynn (Larry) Wilson of Perham, Minnesota; one brother, Roy (Elsie) Martin; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorials preferred to St Paul's Lutheran School, Covenant Hospice of Pensacola or a charity of your choice.
