Mary Hofmann

Mary Emily (Holzer) Hofmann, age 67, of New York Mills, MN, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 , at MeritCare in Fargo , ND .


Mary was born April 9, 1942 , near Casselton , ND , the daughter of Anton and Mary (Kasowski) Holzer. She attended school in New York Mills, MN. On September 18, 1965 , she was united in marriage to Robert Hofmann at St. Henry’s Church in Perham , MN . They were blessed with six sons.



Mary honored God and family. She served faithfully at St. Henry’s Church, singing in the choir and volunteering in several church functions. She also took great pride in providing a home that was surrounded by a great garden and many birds that she loved to tend to.



Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.



Mary is survived by her husband, Bob; six sons, James (Regina), John (Janine), Jerome, Joeseph (Jen), Jason (Rachel), and Jeffrey; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Rebecca, Justyn, Brianna, Brittany, Beau and Serena; six brothers, Gene (Darlene), Joe (Sherryl), Mike (Susan), Frank (Beverly), Albert (Mary) and Ben (Charlene); two sisters, Renee VanWatermulen and Alice (Gerald) Dittmann; and several nieces and nephews.



Preceding Mary in death are her parents; a brother, James; and a nephew, Darin.
