Mary Kay (Herges) Schneider died at Perham Health on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Perham, MN at the age of 56. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by the memorial Mass at 1:00 p.m. all at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Perham. Father Matthew Kuhn will officiate.

Mary is survived by her husband, Paul Schneider of Perham; children, Renae (Dennis) Smith of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Nicholas (Erin) Schneider of Fargo, ND and Joseph (Monica) Schneider of Sabin, MN; grandchildren, Ari Cully (Tyler Swafford), Elnora, Henry, and William Schneider and Amelia Schneider; great-granddaughter, Jadyn Swafford; her mother, Alma Herges of Melrose, MN; her siblings, Linda (Wayne) Engstrand of Chandler, AZ, Randy (Suzy) Herges of Excelsior, MN, Richard Herges of Melrose, MN, Ron (Dee) Herges of Schofield, WI, Steven (Jeanette) Herges of Pelham, AL, Joseph Herges of Melrose, MN and Ann Tschida of Melrose, MN; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Herges.

Mary was born on June 4, 1959 in Melrose, MN to Eugene and Alma (Brickweg) Herges. She graduated from Melrose High School in 1977 and attended St. Cloud Beauty College graduating in 1978. She married Paul Schneider in June of 1979 in St Rosa, MN. Mary worked at the Blue Diamond Beauty Salon and Twin Valley Drug in Twin Valley, MN until 1998 when she moved to Perham, MN. While living in Perham, Mary worked for Perham Memorial Hospital & Home, Pamida Pharmacy and Briarwood Senior Living. Mary had a love for crocheting, quilting, and creating homemade mementos. Spending time with friends, family, playing games and being at the lake were also favorite pastimes.
