Muriel Elizabeth Moore, age 91, formerly of Ottertail Lake, MN, died April 3, 2004, in Seattle, Washington. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the St. James Catholic Church, Maine, MN, beginning at 11:30 a.m. There will be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church, only. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Muriel was born February 5, 1913, the daughter of Olaf and Geneva Paulson, in Adrian, ND. She lived most of her life in Otter Tail County, MN and Seattle, WA. Muriel is a Fergus Falls High School graduate, Fergus Falls, MN. Following her graduation, she attended Park Region College to study stenography. Muriel then worked as Deputy Clerk of District Court, in Fergus Falls, from 1934-1945. She was united in marriage to Henry Moore, who was from Maine, MN, in 1940. After raising four sons, Muriel returned to work as Deputy City Clerk in Perham, MN, where she worked until retiring in 1977. At that time, she began spending winters in Seattle, WA, with family and her summers at her home on Ottertail Lake, rural Perham, MN.
Surviving Muriel are her four sons, Stephen (Wan), James (Evilo), Vincent (David), and Daniel (Colleen); one sister, Eunice; grandchildren, Kweilin, Ryan, Litsun, Tayler, Kathleen, Paul, Matthew and Timothy, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Muriel in death is her husband, Henry, in 1976; her parents; sisters, Evelyn and Genevieve and brothers, Orin, Ernest, and Vernon.
