Nathan M Lehmann,39, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026, at the University Hospital in San Antonio, TX. He was born to Russell A. Lehmann and Cindy C (Hedlund) Nelson on April 27, 1987, in Detroit Lakes, MN.
Nathan attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN for small engine repair which led him to have his own small business for a short time. He had various other types of jobs from installation and removal of docks and lifts to bartending at the "Playtime Bar and Grill" in Perham, MN. The most recent employment was with the R.D.Offut Company in Perham, MN until his recent move to TX to be with his girlfriend, Patricia Esquibel of La Pryor TX.
Nathan liked the outdoors and all the activities that go with being outdoors. One of his favorite things to do is show off his grilling ability, year-round, for gatherings of family and friends. Nathan liked to "tinker" with things. Whether it was mechanics, carpentry, or landscaping. He was always busy with something. He loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween when he could spend extra time with family and friends.
Nathan had a fun-loving attitude. He liked to clown around, but he could also be serious. He was kindhearted and would give the shirt of his back if it was needed. Nathan had a very strong faith in the Lord.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Forrest and Mildred Lehmann along with Clarence and Marlys Hedlund with the addition of Aunts and Uncles; Janice and Ken Johnson, Roy Beck Jr, David Lehmann, DeeAnn Dahlsad, Jim Beaty and Kitty Ueke.
He is survived by his parents, Russell Lehmann and Cindy Nelson; His siblings, Jeremy (Kellie) Lehmann, Jessica Lehmann, and Cheyanna Nelson; along with his children, Case Lehmann, Oliver Lehmann, and John Lehmann; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted for Nathan at Schoeneberger Funeral Home on Thursday, June 4th, 2026 beginning with a time of visitation at 10am, and formal services starting at 11am. Inurnment of Nathan will take place at Bakke Lutheran Cemetery in Detroit Lakes following the service.
