Neil D. Johnson, age 65 of Richville, Minnesota died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Richville, Minnesota with Pastor Rod Tornquist officiating. Inurnment will be in the Richville Village Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday, December 28 at the church.

Neil was born on January 4, 1947 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the oldest son of Roy and Annie Johnson of Battle Lake, MN. Neil attended school in Battle Lake and graduated with the class of 1965. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy and served 20 years in communications. After retiring from military service, he worked as an electrician for Creamette in the Twin Cities before moving to the Fergus Falls area where he worked for Fiskars Power Centry, where he met Juanita. Neil and Juanita were married on November 6, 1995. They lived in Richville. Neil also worked at SJE Rhombus as a maintenance technician and at Thumper Pond as an Auditor. His last job was with Brunswick (Lund's). Throughout his life, Neil enjoyed being outdoors and loved watching sports, golfing and playing with all of his grandchildren.

Neil is survived by his wife, Juanita; sons, Jeffery (Debra) Sheldon, David Johnson, Greg Bearheart, and Vincent Bearheart; daughters, Teresa (Dean) Lysne, Robin Bearheart, Ellen Bearheart, Janice (Randy) Quam, Rachel (Richard) Shipman; grandsons, Trent, Jarod, Dylan, Zachary, Joshua, Hudson, Patrick and Talon; granddaughters, Mariya, Jasmine, Michelle, Chantelle, KyLeigh, Alexis, Nevaeh, Hailie, and Danica. He is also survived by his sister Martha (Doug) Selvaag of Lebanon, Indiana and his brother Dennis (Kathy) Johnson of Verndale, Minnesota.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
