Neva Ditterick

Neva Ditterick, age 97, of Richville, MN, died Thursday, September 09, 2010, at the Perham Memorial Hospital.


September 5 ^th was a special day in the August E. and Myrtle Grace (Ritchey) Larson home for on that day in 1913 Neva Zemora was born in Amor Township of Otter Tail County, Minnesota . She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul ’s Lutheran Church in Richville , MN . Neva attended school district #69 in Amor Township .



On September 4, 1936 , Neva married John “Jack” Henry Wolff at Ogema , MN . The couple farmed near Dead Lake and also Richville. In 1960, Jack died and Neva continued to reside on the farm for another year and then moved to Perham where she worked as a waitress. They are the parents of four daughters; Shirley, Marlene, Mona and Sandra. On September 7, 1966 , she married Andrew Ditterick in South Dakota . The couple made their home in Perham. Andrew died on June 6, 1991 .



Neva is a member of St. Paul ’s Lutheran Church of Richville, the Perham VFW Post #4020 Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Post and the Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed entertaining her family and also volunteered at the Perham Memorial Home where she worked in hair care for six years and assisted with mending.



Neva is survived by four daughters, Shirley Jean (Neal) Ramberg, Richville, MN; Marlene May (Robert) Bentley, Hoyt Lakes, MN; Mona Lee Schwanke, Fargo, ND; and Sandra Ann (Michael) Sazama, Plymouth, MN; eighteen grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; six step children; and many step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



Preceding Neva in death are her parents, August and Myrtle; husbands, Jack and Andrew; a brother, Leslie Larson; a sister, June Haarstick; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.



Memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Richville, MN.
