Raymond Scheidecker

Raymond Scheidecker, age 79 of Perham, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in the presence of his family at Perham Living. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Perham beginning at 11:00 AM with Father Matthew Kuhn officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church. Burial will be held at St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery, Perham.
Raymond Robert Scheidecker was born on March 3, 1934 in Perham, Minnesota to John and Genevieve (Hegerle) Scheidecker. He grew up in Luce, Minnesota and attended country school there. Raymond graduated from Perham High School in 1952. After high school, Raymond entered the Army where he served on non-combat duty in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1963. He was united in marriage to Donna Paschke on May 20, 1967 and they had two children, Kevin and Kelli. Raymond worked for the Luce Block Factory. He also worked for Tuffy's for 26 years as a truck driver and later as a foreman on the cat food line. He retired in 1991 and enjoyed many years of retirement.
Surviving Raymond is his wife of 46 years, Donna; his son, Kevin (fiancé Kristina Januszewski); his daughter, Kelli (Dan) Bjelland; grandchildren, Christopher, Etta, Mattie and Isaac Scheidecker, and Emily and Jacob Bjelland; and sisters, Agnes Weis and Margaret Bressler.
Preceding Raymond in death are his parents, John and Genevieve; his siblings, Ervin, Edward, George, Jerry, Theresa and Eleanor.
