Raymond Schroder

Raymond M. Schroder, age 69 of Perham died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Perham. Visitation will be Monday, July 31, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 all at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Ottertail, MN. Burial will be in the Perham Village Cemetery at a later date.
Ray was born February 17, 1948 in Storm Lake, IA the son of George and Clara (Sweet) Schroder. He married Cheryl Naumann on May 28, 1975. Cheryl passed away November 10, 2013. He lived in Charles City, IA and was a roofer in the construction industry most of his life. For many years Ray delivered the Fargo Forum to area residents and most recently owned and operated a lawn care business. Ray loved watching car racing, traveling, and fishing, especially ice fishing. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Ottertail, MN and was recently confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Ray will be remembered for his amazing outlook on life even with all of his medical issues.
Surviving Ray are his two daughters Cindy Schroder and Rhonda Schroder of Perham; his special companion Mary Alvarez; two step-daughters Mary Ann Ahrens and Billy Jo Naumann; one sister Florence (Patrick) McCormick; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, especially Tiffany Ann.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Cheryl; his son Robert; his brother Keith; and his sister Velma.
