Robert "Bob" H. Ebeling

Robert “Bob” Ebeling was born March 10, 1955 in Perham, MN to Edward and Emelia “Babe” (Guck) Ebeling. Bob passed away peacefully in his home Monday, January 2, 2023.

Bob was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member there. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Perham High School graduating in 1973.

Bob spent the majority of his life in the Perham area where he raised two loving children. He spent over 30 years working for Tuffy’s Pet Food and had been enjoying his retirement since 2020.

Bob was known for his big heart, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor. Throughout his lifetime he was happily content Bob was an avid MN Vikings fan and always hoped for a win on the local football boards. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and visiting with friends and family. He always looked forward to retiring and did so at the age of 65. After retirement, Bob was able to spend more time with his family, helping Shawn at the property with the yard “mutton busting”, teaching the grandkids how to play solitaire, and going to the ocean on vacation with Angie.

Bob prided himself on being on time everywhere he went. He was a loving father and grandfather. Bob was a sentimental and thoughtful, yet the life of the party, and ready to help anyone who needed it.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers Daniel and Gary.

Bob will be missed by his son Shawn (Leah) Ebeling of Montrose, MN; daughter Angela (Travis) Aanenson of Perham; grandchildren Katelyn, Colten, and Zander; siblings SgtMaj Edward R. (Jan) Ebeling USMC (Ret) of Arlington, VA, Doris (Keith) Boehlke of Perham, and Randy (Carol) Ebeling of Perham; along with other family and friends.

A gathering of friends and family will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. A private family service will be held and private interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Perham.
