Rosalie Jones, age 74 of Perham, Minnesota, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Perham Living. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17 beginning at 1:30 PM at the Perham United Methodist Church with Pastor Rob Pesola officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the start of the service at the church on Monday. Burial will take place in the Perham Village Cemetery.
Rosalie was born on July 18, 1938, the only child of Roger and Julia (Burhans) Jones. The family moved to Perham in 1942. She was baptized on March 28, 1945. Rosalie attended school in Perham, graduating in 1956. She then attended Hamline University. She worked in the Perham Elementary School system as an aide and also a home health aide. Rosalie was a long-time member of the Perham United Methodist Church and had been active in the music program and Sunday School. Her church family and her faith in her Lord were very important to her. On July 7, 2007 Rosalie and Lyle Hughes had a Service of Commitment of Love to one another at the Perham United Methodist Church that was attended by family and friends.
Surviving Rosalie is her partner, Lyle Hughes; her aunt, Dorothy Burhans of Battle Lake, Minnesota; several cousins and their families; and many friends.
Preceding Rosalie in death are her parents.
