Sadie Florence (Green) Nundahl, age 106, of Perham, MN, died at Perham Living on Saturday, June 2, 2012.
Sadie was born December 21, 1905, to Olaf and Mathea Green, in Hanska, MN. Her baptism was held on Feb. 18, 1906, and her confirmation took place on Oct. 26, 1919, both in Norwegian, at Tordenskjold Church in Otter Tail County, MN, by Pastor Elias Berlie. She grew up and attended country school in District 95, Tordenskjold Township, Otter Tail County, MN, graduating from the 8th grade.
On August 16, 1926, Sadie married Bernie C. Nundahl, in Madelia, MN. Early on, they moved to Richfield, MN, where they raised four children. In 1945, they moved to Perham. Sadie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was an active member of Ladies' Aid. She loved to sew, crochet, knit, make beautiful quilts, read and watch the MN Twins. Her summers were spent at her cabin on Little Pine Lake, rural Perham.
Surviving Sadie are three children, Bernie and Vernon "Bud", of Perham, MN, and Lavonne, of Sedalia, MO; 18 grandchildren: 43 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Sadie in death are her parents; husband, Bernie, who died on April 17, 1954; one son, Dennis; four brothers, Gerald, Morris, Eugene "Jimmy", and Omer; one grandchild, Pamela, and two daughters-in-law, Janet and Ceil Nundahl.
Sadie loved her family, friends and faith. Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Perham.
