Stephen Joseph Doll, 60, of Perham, MN, passed away at Sanford Health of Fargo, ND, Thursday, February 23, 2012, following a 10 month battle with cancer.
Stephen was born to Leo and Theresa (Schornack) Doll, on January 6, 1952, at St. James Hospital in Perham. Stephen graduated from Perham High School in 1970. He continued his education at the Detroit Lakes Technical College, Detroit Lakes, MN, from 1971-1973. On June 15, 1974, Stephen married his high school sweetheart, Paula Scheidecker. Together, they raised four children, Dustan (Jody) Doll, Travis (Jenny) Doll, Landon (Jill) Doll and Stefanie (Matthew) Hurt. Stephen was employed by the Perham Coop Creamery, from 1973-1975; Land O' Lakes, from 1975-2003 and Bongard's Creamery, from 2004-2011. He was also co-owner of Lone Pine Storage in Ottertail, MN. Stephen enjoyed hunting, both locally and with his sons in Alaska, the upper Midwest, Montana and the Dakotas. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
Surviving Stephen is his wife, Paula; his children; 5 grandchildren, Riley, Madalin, Kasen, and Jocelyn Doll and Trygve Hurt; his parents; eight brothers and sisters, Michael F. (Dorothy) Doll, Patty Doll, Judy (Harry) Dahlin, Ron (Julie) Doll, Dorothy (Dave) Carner, Elaine (Tim) Anderson, Joan (Mark) Klinnert and Joe (Lori) Doll; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be sent to the MN Deer Hunters Association - East Otter Tail Chapter or the American Cancer Society.
