Susan Loerzel

Susan P. Loerzel, age 65 of Perham, MN, passed away in her home on December 11, 2025 after a four-year battle with cancer. She is now free from pain and suffering and is in the loving arms of Jesus.

Sue was born on December 22, 1959 to Dirk and Phyllis Trosen in Wadena, MN. She loved the Lord with all her heart and despite many trials in this life, trusted in His good and perfect plan for her. She was a hard worker her whole life, spending many years caring for others and had a special place in her heart for elderly.

Sue enjoyed spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren; walking around the farm, exploring the woods in Northern MN, or making a sweet treat in the kitchen, they brought her much joy! She will be remembered for her many skills in the kitchen, her meals were always warm, comforting, and taste like home!

After unexpectedly losing her husband of 30 years, God brought her together in marriage with her loving husband, Steve. Steve and Sue had 10 beautiful years together and enjoyed their life. They grew a wonderful garden each year and shared their delicious produce with friends and family.

Sue was kind to all people; she leaves a great legacy of faith to all those who were blessed to know her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dirk Trosen; and brother, John Trosen.

She is survived by her husband, Steve; mother, Phyllis of Wadena, MN; children, Joey Morin (Sarah) of Minneapolis, MN, Chrissy Thompson (Paul) of Britt, MN; grandchildren, Makayla, Andre, Nellie, Isaiah, and Joash; five brothers, Duane, Roger, Dale, Rich, and Chuck; and one sister, Marilee.

Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
