Virginia Carol Marasco, age 81, a devoted Servant of God, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 16th 2026 under the care of Good Samaritan Society (Battle Lake, MN) and HIA Hospice.

Born on January 29th ,1945, Carol lived her life with unwavering faith and a compassionate heart. She exemplified the teachings of Christ through her actions, always finding joy in helping others find their way to Jesus.

Carol graduated from Brooklyn Center High School in 1963. After graduation, she attended California Lutheran Bible School. Upon returning to Minnesota, Carol served as church secretary for many years at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fridley, MN. It is there where she contributed her time and talents; including her God given gift of playing piano by ear, inspiring countless individuals with her dedication to sharing the Gospel.

Carol was united in marriage to Richard (Rick) Marasco on May 19th, 1984. They made their home in Brooklyn Park, MN, along with their 2 beloved puppies, Katie & Sophie. Carol and Rick enjoyed spending time together at the North Shore of Lake Superior; loved decking out their house for Christmas, and also found joy in uplifting others by sharing their faith through song.

A cherished Sister, Aunt, Godmother, and Friend, Carol will be remembered for her joyful spirit, sense of humor, and leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Carol will be dearly missed by her sister, Wendy Schmitz; nephew, Jason (Jennifer) Schmitz, along with their children, Kadence and Talon; niece/Goddaughter, Jami (Chris)Ahart, along with their children, Cody, Kylie and Wyatt; Goddaughter, Rachel (Nathan) Witte, along with their child, Truett. As well as many special friends and relatives.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Rick; parents, Melvin and Betty Westlund; brother Lenny Westlund; and brother-in-law, Dave Schmitz.

A celebration of Carol's life will be planned for a later date.
