Vivian Emily Kennedy Post age 98, of Perham, MN died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Perham Living. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 24 beginning at 11:00 AM at the Perham Living Chapel. Father Matthew Kuhn and Deacon Randy Altstadt will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will be in the parish cemetery immediately following the service.
Vivian was born on December 23, 1915 near Morton, MN. Her family moved to Pekin, IL where Vivian "Bid" started school and later graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1933. Bid worked for the Standard Brands Fleischman Plant until her marriage to Bernard "Bus" Kennedy in 1936. In 1946, the family moved to Minnesota to operate the Jaeger Resort on Star Lake near Dent, MN. Later the family moved to Perham where Bid worked at the local medical clinic, the Memorial Home and did volunteer work at the St. Henry's Grade School. Eight years after the death of her husband, Bid married Hubert Post.
Bid is survived by her daughter, Bernadine (Marvin) Fasen of Paynesville, MN; her son, Michael (Carol) Kennedy of Brookfield, WI; her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Preceding Bid in death is her parents; her daughter, Phyllis; first husband, Bernard; and second husband, Hubert Post.
Memorials are preferred and may be sent in her name to St. Henry's Catholic Church or Perham Living.
