Wilbur E. Still of Perham was the son of Wilbert and Grace Still born on October 4, 1925. Wilbur passed away peacefully on May 11, 2014 at the Good Samaritan in Battle Lake.

Wilbur grew up in Page, ND and graduated from the Page High School in 1942. He worked with his father on the family farm and took over the farm when his father passed away at the age of 17. Later he was employed with the Great Northern Railway as a Brakeman.

In 1950 he was drafted into the United States Army where he served two years in the reconnaissance division in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1952. He resumed his employment with the railroad as a brakeman and a conductor. He married Phyllis Edwardson in 1953 and settled down in Wahpeton, ND and later settled in the Breckenridge, MN area where they bought a farmstead and raised their five children there. In 1987, they moved to Battle Lake, MN and Wilbur retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1989 after 41 years of service. After 20 years of enjoying the lakes area, Wilbur and Phyllis moved to Perham, MN where Wilbur enjoyed 7 years of watching his grandsons in many sports activities. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, traveling and camping. Often times he would disappear to work on a wood project in what we called Santa's workshop. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, his five children, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was a Lion's member for many years in the Battle Lake and Perham area. He was a member of the Perham United Methodist church.

Preceding him in death are his parents Wilbert and Grace Still and his three sisters Mary Barnes, Murl Still and Eveline Chimerowski.
