Rhonda Huwe

Rhonda Lynn (Schnoor) Huwe, age 62 of Dent, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 22, 2021, at home under the care of hospice. She was born February 24, 1959, in Los Angeles, CA to Don Robert Schnoor, Sr.

She graduated from Audubon High School in 1977. Rhonda enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball while in school. Rhonda graduated from Vo-Tech in 1978, and began employment for Enterprise Bull Newspaper in Perham, working there until the early 90's.

Rhonda married the devilishly handsome Steven Lee Huwe on October 21, 1978. They were happily married for 43 years.

Rhonda enjoyed playing sports, her favorites were volleyball, softball, and bowling. She also enjoyed going to Fargo to play bingo and quilting. Steve would joke that it took her three years to finish his John Deere quilt, when it only took three months.

Always being one to assist others, Rhonda loved to help by driving to appointments, cleaning homes, or working as a PCA.

Rhonda is survived by her loving husband, Steve; loving daughter, Tabitha; sisters, Rosemarie (Paul) Shettler, of Hertford, NC, Rebecca (Billy) Peters of Hawley, MN, Lisa (Marty) Flaherty of Hingham, MA; and one brother, Corky (Kim) Schnoor; brothers-in-law Kevin Lubitz, Dennis (Kathy) Huwe; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Schnoor, Theresa Schnoor and Dorren (Warren) Thompson.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her father, Don Robert Sr; brothers, Don Robert Jr., Edward, and Steven; sister, Kim Lubitz; and parents-in-law, Art and Evelyn Huwe.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Perham on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Visitations will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 on Wednesday, December 29 at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service in Perham and will resume one hour prior to the funeral at church. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Dent.
